Community Based Projects
As a brand we are deeply focused on community upliftment and have developed special projects that provide remote villages with access to facilities like safe drinking water, LED bulbs and energy efficient improved cook stoves that are not only energy efficient but also enable the last mile users to improve their lives with safer, cost-effective necessities.

We have established a subsidiary – GHG Reduction Technologies Pvt. Ltd. for the manufacturing of improved cook stoves. Through this, we have been able to successfully bring the benefits of carbon avoidance development, to the remote and marginal communities, with much-needed developmental imperatives of livelihood, women empowerment, health etc.

We have developed a state-of-the-art facility in Nashik for the manufacturing of improved cook stoves. With an annual capacity of producing 5 million, the facility has one of the highest ever production capacities in the world. We continue to upscale its interventions in other community base technologies addressing energy and water securities.

Nature-Based Solutions (NBS)
 

We champion the implementation of nature-based solutions to offset carbon emissions through aim to mitigate the adverse climate change through the protection, restoration and management of natural and semi-natural ecosystems. Our NBS offerings include climate change mitigation & resilience, improved agriculture and land management, reduced emissions from deforestation and forest degradation (REDD/REDD+), afforestation/reforestation/forest conservation, Blue Carbon and ecosystem conservation.

We have joined hands with Shell Overseas Investments B.V. (from Netherlands), in a special purpose vehicle (SPV) – “Amrut Nature Solutions Private Limited”; which invests in offsets and the generation of potential projects in NbS; specifically in forestry, agriculture including agroforestry, horticulture, grasslands, wetlands, peatland and blue-carbon sectors. 

ESCO Energy Efficiency Projects –
 

Projects that enable the preservation of the world’s natural resources while also reducing emissions is the need of the hour today and we at EKI have been extensively working towards enabling energy efficient projects to become Internationally certified and standardized for enhanced energy conservation.
